Fluendo DVD Player has major issues on OpenSolaris. I didn't expect it to work right, anyways. I tried installing mplayer through BlastWave. I have ZFS automatically taking filesystem snapshots. I hosed my system by letting BlastWave overwrite a few essential Gnome files. Since ZFS kept timed snapshots, I was able to revert back to the last snapshot prior to working on BlastWave. I ran the following command: pfexec zfs rollback -r rpool/ROOT/opensolaris@zfs-auto-snap:frequent-2009-12-14-21:15. Everything went back to normal and my system is completely usable again. I am glad that the second thing I do after installing OpenSolaris is enable auto-snapshots (the first thing being setting up NTP).
I'm still learning DTrace. I think I've finally learned enough to start piecing together a basic architecture for a fuzzer.
